ROCKIN' ACOUSTIC CIRCUS MPAC Summer Concerts

Every so often a group of musicians come together and form a band that brings a fresh new blend to captivate a listening audience. Drawing influence from musical heroes and various genres of music, RAC has developed a sound of their own - a sound that can only be sculpted by these six individuals. Texas Instruments Jazz Band

The Texas Instruments Jazz Band is a full 20-piece big band consisting of saxes, trombones, trumpets, a rhythm section, and a vocalist. The band is organized through the Texins Association (Dallas, Texas) of Texas Instruments. Membership is open to all people eligible for Texins Association membership. Neil Simon's "Fools" is a comedy appropriate for a night of fun and laughter for the entire family. A terrible curse has befallen the city of Kulyenchikov that has turned everyone stupid, when ambitious school teacher, Leon Tolchinsky, comes into town. He does his best to break the curse and through a series of events he prevails with a little twist. THE MUSIC WITHIN A Concert & Lecture Event featuring Dr. Timothy Seelig & Resounding Harmony

One man's story, everyone's journey. An evening of inspiration, music, and laughter. Theater organ concert; songs by Resounding Harmony, a Dallas chorus; and a gripping one-man stand-up motivational presentation by Dr. Timothy Seelig. Timothy Seelig is a singer, conductor, professor, motivational speaker, soon-to-be Grandfather and a funny guy! He is the Artistic Director of North Texas' 200-voice community chorus, Resounding Harmony. He has been on the faculty at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University since 1996. He is also the Artistic Director Emeritus of the Turtle Creek Chorale, which he conducted for 20 years. Dr. Seelig holds four degrees, including the DMA from the University of North Texas and the Diploma from the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. As a singer, he was the lead baritone at the Swiss National Opera in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He has four books and four DVDs on choral technique including The Perfect Blend, The Perfect Rehearsal, The Perfect Choral Workbook, Choral Quick Fixes, The Music Within and The Language of Music. Dr. Seelig continues a busy guest-conducting schedule throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Known for his enthusiasm and sense of humor, Grammy Magazine says, "Dr. Seelig takes eclecticism to new heights." The Fort Worth Star Telegram says, "Known as a fine singer, he also slices a thick cut of ham."
