| Four Funny Females:
The Ultimate Girls night out!
|
| Saturday, February 18th, 2012 Start time: 8:00pm
End time: 10:00pm
Location: Courtroom Theater |
| Four women—a Tech Geek, a Southern Belle, a brash blonde and a wacky brunette--walk into a theater ... Sounds like a joke, right? It isn't! The theater in question is the McKinney Performing Arts Center and the women are four of Texas ' finest female stand-up comedians. For one night only, these Four Funny Females will bring their own unique brands of girl talk to North Texas , and the joke's on you if you miss it.
There's something for everyone at "FFF," because these ladies are as diverse as they are devastatingly hilarious. Computer geek Jodi Hadsell skews a sideways take on surviving her redneck parents. Sherry Belle's got saccharin-sweet southern snark, and while it took Laura Bartlett 36 years of living before she started in stand-up comedy, she's all the funnier for it. Headliner Linda Stogner, an award-winning writer and producer in her own right, always leaves 'em speechless with her off-the-wall blend of observational comedy and personal stories about anything and everything from talking squirrels to hermits--yeah, you've gotta see it to believe it.
In past years, Four Funny Females has earned McKinney the title of "The New Comedy Central" from the Dallas Morning News. Round up your best friends--or, heck, somebody you barely know who looks like she needs a laugh--and be a part of Texas comedy history when these ladies take McKinney by lady storm!
Dragged my husband (with the promise that women are funny) and loved it!!! It was probably the first comedy show I've seen that didn't have any curse words. That's a hard show to do! I was at the Improv not too long ago and noticed that all the comedians were men, They are missing out! I love that you have an all-woman [cast]!" Debbie Mitchell, McKinney, TX
Tickets for Four Funny Females are general admission, $21.50 per person. Each order, regardless of the number of tickets or shows ordered, is assessed a $2 processing fee.
