Construction Update
Weather permitting, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close Wilmeth Rd. beginning Monday, Feb. 6 in order to begin the reconstruction of U.S. 75 at that location. The Wilmeth Rd. bridge over U.S. 75 is expected to be closed through June. In conjunction with the closure of Wilmeth, beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 through 6 a.m. Saturday morning, both directions of U.S. 75 will be closed at Wilmeth for demolition of the bridge over the highway. The demolition of the bridge will continue over the frontage roads on Wednesday, Feb. 15 beginning at 10 p.m. through 6 a.m. Thursday morning.

TxDOT will also close northbound and southbound SH 5 to through traffic at the East Fork of the Trinity River just south of Melissa on Monday, Feb. 6 through the spring. The closure is necessary to ensure the safety of the traveling public as well as accelerate the completion of the construction on the replacement bridge.

Message boards and detour signs have been placed ahead of the closure to notify and guide drivers approaching the project. TxDOT would like to thank area drivers for their continued patience and cooperation as crews work diligently to complete this vital project as soon, and as safely, as possible.

For additional transportation related information please visit the TxDOT Website www.txdot.gov or www.mckinneytexas.org/construction.

Drought Continues
Even with a rainy winter and increased conservation during Stage 3 water restrictions, our water supply is dangerously low. With water from recent rains, your lawns and landscaping should have received plenty of moisture. Lawns are dormant during winter months and do not need water. It's best to turn off your sprinkler system and water any necessary plants or foundation areas by hand or with drip irrigation.  For information of stage 3 of the drought, visit the website http://www.mckinneytexas.org/waterrestrictions.

**CRIME ALERT**
It has been reported to Lone Star Management that several vehicles have been broken into/stolen in your community recently.  Lone Star and the Board would like to urge residents to look out for each other and remember to lock your doors and do not leave anything that might tempt a thief to break into your vehicle.  If you see anything out of the ordinary or suspicious please do not hesitate to contact the police.  The old "better to be safe than sorry" rule definitely applies in this situation.

 IMPORTANT MESSAGE
Please remember to contact the police if you see anyone at the pool after hours or jumping the fence.  If the vandalism continues it could affect your dues in the future so as a community you must work together. To find out how to obtain your pool card contact Lone Star.  Pool opens May 1st and will be closed for the season on October 1st.
